Texas

Nagem,
Quick question. Do you sell hatching eggs from your Ameraucana’s?
I noticed you are just 30 min away from me, and I am actually looking for different breeds to hatch.
Looking for 15-20 eggs later in the month.
Im not at this time. Had some issues with predators braking into two of my pens so everyone's mixed right now. Its been difficult getting the pens fixed on my own.

Ok, sorry to hear that. If or when you get it all sorted, please message me, as I would like to add specific breeds to my flock.

I just found this thread, I live in Burleson county, I hatch different eggs as a hobby, I give the pullets to whoever wants them, along with cockerels if they want them, but most of the time they don’t, so I end up butchering them.
I was raising quail but it got totally out of hand and I ended up getting rid of them, if I could have sold live quail and eggs I would have kept doing it, but everyone wants them butchered and I advertised jumbo corturnix quail eggs for $3/dozen and didn’t sell any, I did enjoy hatching and raising them they grow so fast, but I’ll be content hatching out chickens and guinea eggs when I can get them.

Hi! Welcome to the Texas thread!

It has been so warm this "winter" that everything is confused. My neighbor mowed his lawn his past weekend. My plumeria is blooming. I even saw a bunch of bees snacking on chicken feed today.

Does anyone else think February is going to be absolutely freezing? Somethings gotta give!
