Texas

I agree, Texasgal-I have met some wonderful friends on here and NONE of them are from Texas-very strange.
Maybe we can change that once we all meet up in College Station!

I can't wait im in the countdown for the event.
when I move to usa I never thought ill find so many chicken lovers .

You came to the right place! There are a tremendous amount of poultry enthusiasts and it is so much fun to get to meet them and have them understand why we love our birds so much.
How long have you been here in Texas?

some around 11 years
I tripped out in my first winter here I thought my chickens were gonn died frozen
I was about to bring them all inside the house ,my neighbor saw me taking action he laughed a little and told me that they were gonna be fine.
the winter here is that bad...
and that's the way he still remember me...

That's hilarious! Believe me, if I had my way, some of my little teeny bantams would be in a cage in the house right now. My husband, however, disagrees with this idea.

No chickens in the house.. period. As soon as they hatch .. out in the brooder they go! lol.

(Of course I did hatch and raise TWENTY-THREE .... in an apartment last year .. until they were 4 weeks old ...

Pigeon, looks like we may be going head to head at BBC.
This is one of my little White hens, Damsel. I have some gorgeous little Whites that I'm so proud of.
I have a gray drake that I personally think is too large-bodied and a tad beaky so I may not show him.
Pretty little gray hen you got there.

Nope .. I had big cardboard boxes in DD12s walk in closet .. with a brooder light .. we were changing those boxes out every other day there at the end .. it was funny. I had 27 eggs in the bator and could NOT believe 23 of them hatched.. only when you really ARE NOT ready does THAT happen..

It was an experience..
