Despite forcing her jaw not to drop and not to punch this girl in the face in equal measure, Niebo was surprisingly calm. "Would you really want to risk messing with anyone?" she asked. "Especially my friend? I'm warning you now, and you'll want to listen, because it's the last time I'm going to say it: You mess with Lara, you mess with me." I will not allow someone I love to be killed in front of me again! she thought fiercely. She knew she would protect Lara at all costs, even if it meant her life.

"You can run away from me, you can threaten me, you can do whatever the heck you want. But justice will prevail. Good always overpowers evil, light always controls darkness, even if it takes time." she whispered. "You want to kill her, you can try. But I will see to it that it doesn't happen. And watch out Ebony. Watch out, because if you try to harm her I will not go easy on you."

"Light does not control darkness, darkness does not control light. They control each other. Look at the very planet we are walking on, it is controlled by both darkness and light." Thrydwulf swept past her to the flight of stairs, throwing the words over his shoulder.
