(Wow.... Drama just multiplied itself)Lara marched along the sidewalk. Ebony tapped her shoulder, Lara spun copping a hard punch to the face. This knocked her out. A note was pinned to Lara’s dress ‘I warned you...’
As Niebo waited in her room, the minutes passed. She began to feel uncomfortable as she remembered Ebony's threat earlier that day... I'll just go take a quick peek around. she thought. I'll find Lara perfectly fine, and I'll tell her what Ebony said. If that's what it takes for me to stop being so paranoid.
"She is," Niebo explained. "But I can't find her. And... I'm worried because of something Ebony said to me earlier..."Elidi, who had disappeared to her room to do homework, sat back with a sigh, typing the last word in an essay she had been putting off for a while. Pushing her stool back from her desk and standing, she opened her door and noticed Niebo’s retreating figure. “Hey,” she called after the girl, “do you know when dinner is?” She had changed out of her dirty training clothes and now wore a loose pale blue shirt that complimented her eyes, her hair pulled back into a braided bun. “Noticing that she was alone, she asked, “Where’s Lara? I thought she was going to share a room with you until she got her own.”
"She is," Niebo explained. "But I can't find her. And... I'm worried because of something Ebony said to me earlier..."
“Oh, gosh!” Calm her down, calm her down! How? “Um, I’m sure it was an empty threat, but I’ll help you find her.” Elidi told her, closing her door and stepping up next to Niebo.Feeling all her insecurities flooding to her, she burst out almost hysterically, "Ebony threatened to kill Lara and now I can't find her, and it's not like her to be late and I know Ebony was probably just trying to scare her, but it worked and now I'm freaking out as you've most likely noticed!"
(Just a brief reminder, she has a really quiet, gravely kind of voice because her lungs got pretty screwed up in a fire when she was younger.)Saga crept back inside, closing the door silently. In fear of being seen outside, and walked back down the hall, intent on her journal. Suddenly her foot caught on something, her yelp cut off as she staggered over a deadweight on the ground. Slamming a hand against the wall to stop herself from falling, she whirled around. "I'm pretty sure that is the worst possible spot to sit."
