Depending on where you are I'm sure it could be possible for me to send you hatching eggs! In all honesty I think I might have a small breeding flock in Texas by next summer if you're in the states!

Well whenever I have a breeding flock in the states I'll 100% be letting everyone know once hatching are available!

Baby Bee actually started crowing for the first time yesterday btw! Since it'll be a while until I have hens if his breed and he's all alone I'm also keeping my eye out for a bantam hen to keep him company

I was going to suggest... When you have really rare birds, and the possibility of something dreadful happening, it's a good idea to breed as soon as you can, even if they would be mixes.
A lot of breeds have some outcrossing back there, sometimes for genetic vigor, sometimes to introduce / improve certain traits, sometimes because of rarity.
You can clean it up in later generations by breeding back to your pure bird(s) and continue to select for the right traits.
So you would want to pick a breed that shared some of the most important traits, prioritizing the hardest to keep. I believe in this case it would be size. Size and personality are some of the easiest to lose. Beards can be brought back around though.
There is a member on here with Owlbeards, if they would suit.

Then pick his best daughters and breed them back to him. At that point they should be pretty close.
Of course you should go ahead with your main plan to get more. But just think of this as insurance. At least 2-3 hens would make him happy. And it may help prevent genetic bottlenecks.

Currently I'm looking into getting some hens from a lady who has a large flock of mix breed bantams! She'll be sending me more photos of the hens she has available, but these are the photos she's sent me. I like this mottled hen since I believe it looks like she has a beard. She weighs a little more than a kilo so I think she should be a good suze match in comparison with Baby Bee. Baby Bee weights a bit over a kilo as well

And then there are these hens, The one larger hen probably has a bit of silkie in her. The smaller two both weight a little under a kilo
