I can't find a post I thought I posted.

I really dislike re-typing; it never comes out the same.


I complimented everyone and their spirit, determination, and the support they showed for

1) a fellow BYCer,;

2) a chicken lover;

3) A veteran of our armed forces; and

4) a person suffering from PTSD.


In the spirit of you all and "OzzChicken", I propose we all make an effort in our respective communities to provide a chicken tractor (or other coop) and three chickens to a veteran suffering from PTSD who wants chickens in each community that we all represent.

We can call it "Project OzzChicken: a coop and 3 chickens for vets".

This would not only be a great way to pay it forward, but it would show appreciation for our vets, support for backyard chickens, and some understanding of PTSD and a willingness to contribute in a way that would help.

Heck, maybe Donald Trump and his celebrity apprentices would help.

Anyone in?!!

I'll be the "second" one to donate. (Probably a chicken, maybe a coop.)

Cut 12" off the darn coop! Cut it with a hatchet, and cover it with a tattered tarp and make it look like all Hell.... You will be in compliance, your neighbor will see what he/her deserves, and the "powers that be" can't say squat!

yes I was blessed that someone as good hearted as they were heard of the situation. He and his wife are great people,,,
I tried to give them some money for the chicken tracor, but they refused to former Major Mark,,,(he doesnt want his last name mentioned) and his wife THANK YOU!!!! and God bless!!!

Yay!!! but, but, but we was gonna bring beer for the building party!! Well, I guess I'll get DH busy working on our coops. Your old coop will still be handy for storage of your chicken stuff. I am so glad it worked out for you. My animals certainly ease my mind when I need it.
