thank you,,,everyone this is my last post

I agree, someone should tip off the local TV news to this story. It is definitely a human interest one and in the end, maybe your idiot neighbor will be the one to move away out of humiliation.

I am late joining this post, but I totally understand what you are going through, we had chickens and they went passed our fence line and our neighbors freaked out. They didn't bother calling us to tell us that they didn't like them. So instead they called the cops and they wanted us to pay 100.00 for every chicken that entered their yard, I told them to **** off. Now we are not allowed to have chickens but they didn't say anything about peafowl and I am so glad peacocks are so noisy and can be herd from miles away. I am waiting for the cops to show up for a noise complaint next. Try rabbits, I may have what you do, I also have to have a hobby. Rabbits are real fun and your neighbors will never find out about them they are very easy to hide, they don't make any noise execpt a thump on their cage. Plus they have cute little babies so that will keep you occupied.

Not allowed to have chickens, eh? *evil laugh* "Sounds" like you need guineas. *mwahahahaha* (Don't bother claiming ownership either.

I have a Guinea Bird haha, it is noisy but the peacocks scream. I wont claim ownership to any of my birds, even though they are on my property and have nice pens built for them but no they aren't mine

Stayed up far past my bedtime to read every single post re: ozz and his chickens and the neighbor situation. OMGosh -- to have a caniption / hissy-fit over FOUR INCHES?? REALLY? These are some sad, sad little people. I'm so glad Major Mark ___ and Mrs. ____ were so gracious to help -- the entire BYC community gives them thanks and appreciation on behalf of ozz & his chickens! What a blessing to have people who care and don't just say "Oh, that's too bad, that's such a shame..." then forget all about it and move on to the next topic of interest. As I've said to many new members, "What's NOT to love about BYC?"!! It's an online community of some of "the most caring, compassionate, and willing to help in whatever capacity they're able to do so" people in the world! I'm proud to be a member of this group! To ozz and ALL you other veterans, active or reserve military personnel, AND family members of those -- there aren't enough words to express our thanks and gratitude for the sacrifice each of you has made on our behalf. Our family has military personnel in the following states of duty: active, retired, reserve, disabled, and KIA. We are thankful for those who have returned safely, and continue to give thanks and our profound appreciation to everyone still making that sacrifice today.

No, no, no. "A" guinea bird doesn't cut it. Try seven. *cackles wildly -- like a guinea*

Of course, there's always the "Mystery Barking Dog" option.

You place hidden speakers in the yard and play a recording of a huge barking dog, randomly timed. If ever asked, you can truthfully say you don't own a dog and look totally innocent. I've never done this personally, but I think I might, if someone did to me what they did to you. I would never do anything illegal or property damaging, but I could be a PIA for a very long time. Muuuuooooohhhhhaaaaa!

Please post photos of the chicken tractor! *begs* and then photos of the chickens/chicks when you get them! This is an awesome story, I am glad things turned out well.
