Thank you for my silkies, Charlie! (and Julie!) *upd. pics pg 4*

All I know it they're beautiful. You can just tell by looking at them that they're going to be great looking birds when they get older. Some of the birds I picked up earlier this year just don't have the same "awww" factor to them... kinda homely. Of course, a couple are beauties, and I can't wait to see what kind of babies they throw.

Better you than me with the 92°F... I'm sweating just thinking about it! LOL!~

Well from what Charlie told me he had in the pens breeding together it looks like you have 2 blues and 2 splash.

Well, considering two look white, and two look blue...

Cuteeeeeeeeeee Babies! Wanted to let you know Buffy and Cheeky are doing well

No eggs yet lol but they're eating and drinking up a storm and being introduced to our chicks. Got some new babies too! I'll e-mail later, just been busy with fam. issues. Great job hatching the munchkins

Yay! I'm so happy to hear that... I'm guessing they're pretty happy in their new digs.

I miss their pretty faces, but as you can tell, I'm pretty much up to my armpits in chicks now! LOL! You'll have to stop by to visit the FuzzyButt Gang...

I'm SO happy (I'm gonna cry again) that these 4 babies hatched, and very excited to have some known-quality birds in my flock. It still blows me away that they're mine! (I think I owe Charlie some salmon or something...)

Two are from Charlie's girl Sas, and two are from Sterling... I need to go back and look at the photos he sent and match them up to the mommas and see if I can figure out which ones are which... the whole color scheme is really kicking my butt.

The two white looking ones would be splash. I think he said he had a splash Roo in the pen along with another roo of a different color. If the splash to splash is the father your coloring may be very light. If they are pullets breed them back to blue or black. If you breed them back to blue you will get blue and a darker representation of splash and possibly a few black. If you breed them to black you will get all blue.

Thank you Julie! I just printed that so I won't lose it. Going in my "silkie" file.

You guys are so awesome!!!

Here are some updated photos... sorry, they're not the best. I need to set up my "studio" and see if I can get a group shot now that they're 3 weeks old.

They are really looking good Tori, don't ya think Julie? Is that some splash coloring that is starting to come through on the lighter ones?

Charlie
