I am a new chicken mom. Yes, I actually call myself a chicken mom, lol. My first flock of 11 rhode island reds have been doing well. I had one issue turn up with an impacted crop these past 2 days and can report, thanks to wonderful posters, that after giving a few drops of oil and some crop massage the baby chick is doing well. I cross my fingers she continues to do well.
Thank you to all the posts that mention crop impaction and how to cure it. Oil and massage worked.
