The other day I noticed that one of my new chicks was acting kind of punk. He was up and around, but just didn't act like the rest of the chicks. He was very lazy and didn't eat much. I read through some of the threads on here and "pasty butt" came up several times. I went and checked and sure enough he had the crud. A little warm water a cotton swab and some gentle cleaning and he was ready to go. The minute I sat him down he pooped twice. Today he is just as healthy and active as the rest of the flock. We inspected the rest of the birds and they were all clean. I just want to say thanks to those of you who take time to help us green horns out. I know my little chick is glad too.
