Hi there! I'm posting partially to ask if anyone knows what breed(s) these little guys are, and also partially because I want to show off my babies
First off, this is a 1yr old hen my friend gave me. Her sisters (hatched by an EE mom in the same clutch) all laid blue eggs, but she lays light brown. I know she's a mutt, but any idea what's mixed in there?
The rest of the pictures are of my 1 week old straight-run assorted chicks from McMurray's. I ordered 25 of the "special assorted bargain" chicks, meaning whatever they had left after they filled the other orders. I know they're a bit young for IDing, but I thought I'd give it a shot!
This feather-legged little one must be my "free exotic chick" they threw in my order.
About half of the chicks they sent me look like this:
I had my husband attach a tiny roost to their brooder when they were only a couple of days old. I wasn't expecting anyone to get up there yet, and judging from the other chicks in the photo, they were also surprised! "How did you do that?!"
