Thanksgiving day reaked!!

Because if stuff like this with families I will stop going to family gatherings as soon as my mom dies, because my lazy brothers refuse to take her to see her side of the family 75% or better are 100% toxic. Why do I call them lazy? because they want to go and attend most gatherings but refuse to take her because they don't want to spend the half an hour round trip to pick her up and drop her off at our house, and they do not want to be inconvenienced by me picking her up and drop her off and having her in their homes a couple or three hours due to my work schedule. So I miss a day of work most times they get together (I work retail we don't know what a weekend or holiday is in this line of work).

Gman, that sort of behavior only happens once around here. Life is too short and uncertain to be wasted in the presence of abrasive people.

but for my friends who treat me better than my side of the family I now and have been saying:

Sometimes the best families are the ones you make for yourself, full of supporting people who genuinely care for you. These are better than toxic people who are related to you by circumstances of birth or marriage.

Next holiday spend it with the good friends you like to be around...and don't feel the least bit guilty about it!
