Thanksgiving Hatch- Anyone want to join in?

Added water a few minutes ago and much to my surprise, I have a peeper! This is my first incubation so it is so neat to see all this. Amazing I can hear the little one in his shell. Good luck to all!

ME TOO, ME TOO! They are officially on lockdown. 18 of Speckled Hens Delawares. I put them in pedigree baskets to keep them from being kick balled.

I hatched out some Marans in them and they did great so now I can keep Kira's, Ellie, and Phoebe's seperate from the rest.

Pacing, pacing, pacing

Good hatching and good luck everyone!!

Lockdown this morning! So excited. do they make sound when they are still in the shell? I could have sworn I kept hearing something last night

yes.. it's the craziest thing... that means they are close to popping out.. keep a close eye.. and remember.. you're early if they start pipping today..so don't get discouraged if you only get a pip then nothing for a while.. or if a few hatch and then no more pips for a while..

a buddy that was hatching some eggs from my chickens said on day 21 or 22 he had 4 that hadn't hatched.. he took them out and put them on the counter... and about 8 hours later he heard peeping and went to find out if a chick had got loose to figure out the pipping was coming from the kitchen counter.. the dud eggs weren't duds after all.. but they had been at 80degrees for 8 hours... he tried to help them hatch but neither made it..

hoping all your eggs hatch healthy....

Just got back from collecting eggs from the coop and letting the chickens free range... I can hear chickies from the eggs, no pips yet

We'll know in a few days. I'm hoping I get some little friends for my lone bantam chick. Otherwise, he has to get put up every night until he gets some size.
