Thanksgiving Hatch- Anyone want to join in?

We have a total of 7 hatched so far. The other 6 eggs are quiet in the bator. I'm wondering if they're still alive because the others hatched so quickly! They're not even due til today, so I'm going to give them a few more days.

Well, the last egg hatched last night - buff orp baby - which is now dead, also

First time mama, wasn't sure how to keep track of them, I guess. Also lost another baby last night, so out of 6 eggs, 6 live hatches, I have three babies, which I brought inside this morning. I am bummed, but next time I'm gonna put some int he incubator, I guess - bad time of year for them to get lost out of the nest - too cold.

But, I have two cochin/buff orp mutts, and one cochin.

She set on them very well - just needs to learn to keep them near her when they wander at a day old.

(completely sprawled out, with tail flat) over top of 3 duck eggs. We have 2 pips in one egg, 1 pip in another, and nothing yet in the third. They are due today so we will have to check again tonight.

When we got home from Thanksgiving meal today we heard distinct peeping. Upon lifting up momma (Broody-Bator) to take a look, here is what we found. The one on the left actully just popped out as we were watching. It is about 3 seconds old in this picture.

My 3 are 24 hours old now. I was teaching them about drinking water, 2 were shy about it, one went face first into the tray, stood up, shook it's head, had a little drink, and the others followed suit without face diving into it. LOL It was way cute.

The last egg is pipped, it was due a day later, so if it makes it out that'll be 100% of what I set!

So....
totals at the moment
3 silkies
1 RIR
2 BSL, male and female, male is still in bator drying off, hatched this morning
5 barnyard mixes, one is still in shell, very slow about hatching
2 BSL males that pipped or hatched but have died

I went ahead and checked the ones that hadn't hatched, no survivors. Most didn't make it past day 17 or 18. 3 drowned. 3 were on my questionable list and had not made it to day 15.
