Thanksgiving Hatch- Anyone want to join in?

i wonder if it might be smarter to use the one that doesn't hold humidity but holds temp for the first half of the hatch.. then use the LG for the lockdown...

Yes! You'll be a whole lot happier with the results if you do it that way.

lol.. i don't have anything right now either...

there's all kinds of things you can buy to read it... i think i'm gonna hit petsmart and look for something.. i don't have a whole lot to spend on it right now... my theory is humidity doesn't exist in las vegas...

A hygrometer. If you are going for low end, there are some cheap ones at Walmart (electronic), but they won't measure the humidity using the probe. What I do is completely not at all precise. I open the other vent hole and put the unit over top of it. But it seems to work out most of the time for the hatchlings.

Ok, I've been putting it off, but it's time. I need to go check the thermometer on the Hovabator and candle the post Thanksgiving (but meant to be Thanksgiving) Leghorns.

11 of 23 are going in as soon as I re-stabilize the incubator. It apparently didn't like it when I stole the bottom and cleaned it earlier today.

Jenjscott, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope everyone is able to hang on from here out.
