Thanksgiving Hatch- Anyone want to join in?

I'm going to be putting eggs in the bator eeeeaaarrrrlllly on the morning of November 5th so they'll hatch out on Thanksgiving Day! Would anyone want to be a bator buddy?

I'm having a hard time being patient! I think I'm going to start collecting eggs today or tomorrow. Of course my 1 Americana hen hasn't laid the past 2 days. She better start because I really wanted to incubate some of her eggs!!

you know, funny thing is, i MIGHT actually be doing this as well lol. Im very active in the halloween hatch at the moment and the breed i was really pulling for ended up having a lot of clear and or blood ringed eggs. So im pritty sure you can count me in.

YAY! We can have some "Turkey" chicks.

I'm trying to decide how many eggs to put in the bator. It'll be my first hatch (well, the only other thing I hatched was 2 duck eggs in one of those little dome incubators). I think I'd like to put 25 eggs in, just to make sure I end up with a good number of chicks.

Im putting quail eggs in on thursday, will be hatching just before thanksgiving.

Here are some button quail that hatched sunday.

Size comparison, thats a nickle.

I got my Bobwhite eggs today! 100 are going in the bator tomorrow morning!
I will post pics of what will hopefully be a great hatch!

I love button quail! I bought my daughter two of them years ago at the county fair. They lived in a two piece habitrail. It was so cute to watch them run thru the plastic tunnels. When they started to lay eggs I would fry them and put them on ritz crackers for her after pre-school snack.

WooT!!!!!!!!!!! i think i can do that too... i didn't realize we'd be due over thanksgivng... my odest missed this hatch.. he was coming over tomorrow night to egg sit while i did halloween stuff at the little ones school.. his birthday is the 25th... so i think that would be good timing.. he'll be home for the weekend...

if i get eggs in the next day or two in the mail do you think thye can wait till the 5th to be started??
