AND get this!! A blogger friend that lives in Minnesota is sending me some free mutt eggs (EE mix) because she read on my blog my Americana girl quit laying!! How cool is that?!! I think she sent them on Monday, so hopefully they'll be here today or tomorrow!!!

I want to join

I just posted about my broody........
I dont have a bator but I do have a broody BO, shes our 2nd broody

I just put 5 eggs under her... 3 EE, 1 BO or RIR (cant tell them apart) and 1 bantam, hoping to add another bantam egg later or tomorrow). This will be our 2nd hatch... got 7 BO from our 1st BO broody (we only have 5 now and they are 5 weeks old). I was going to wait til Spring to hatch anymore but this poor girl has been broody for about a month now... so I'll let her try

I got my eggs today I bought off eggbid 12 Black silkies..One has a good size crack so I liquid bandaided it.. Maybe it will work?

But why not try it!!

So they will be resting today..

well due to not being able to get to the post office to mail some eggs out, it looks like i'll be putting 18 eggs in the bator... i'm going to do it friday though.. hoping for thanksgiving... the last hatch hit a day early and my oldest son missed almost all of it.. s if i set on friday or sat even if they're early he should be here...

anyone else planning a christmas hatch yet??? rofl.....

I am starting a hatch tomorrow morning as well. These will be eggs from my Barred Rock Pair that I hatched from SpeckledHen. There are also a couple of eggs from my Barred Easter Egger hen I hatched, also from SpeckledHen.

I have not hatched since June and promised I would not hatch again till next spring. But hey what a neat idea to hatch for Thanksgiving.

Provided everything goes according to plan tonight and tomorrow morning (as in these little eggs in the bator now hatch tonight and tomorrow) I will be setting between 55 and 57 eggs. 2 of which I'm debating because they do have hairline cracks, I may let the bator capacity decide that for me.

24 mix breed, LF, and let me tell ya these eggs are HUGE.
17 RIR and BSL mixed together
14 or 16 white silkies
