We used to have a silkie. Went broody I believe, and 2 days later some dogs broke in our garden, and um, basically destroyed everything. Including the chickens. All of them except 2 of them and the old rooster, “Roosty”. He was about at least 12 years old when he died. *He did not die from the dog attack*

Yeah, they look standard. The white one is the prettiest.

I like How “pure” white the Cochin and jersey giants are, they are stunning. The white Cochin though, I the least tamest of the Cochins…Funnily enough, we got white jersey giants, and. One of them has a few black feathers on it. Maybe if she goes broody, I could eventually end up with half white, half black Jersey giant?

Your dogs?

No, some wild dogs. We never had dogs. Here’s a little story. After they attacked they attacked out chickens, they tried to re-enter our garden for about 3 days, which of course, we made sure they didn’t. So what did they do? Well, they went to the neighbors a street ahead of us. They also had a lot of chickens. They destroyed their chickens too. Exactly 1 week later, they attacked the neighbors yard AGAIN, and this time, the husband was home, and well, he shot them. And that was the end of those horrible dogs.

I think Black JG have extended black (I am not totally sure on it). And white JG can be recessive or dom. I think your bird is probably dom?? Not entirely sure on that, but Dominant white on Extended black is paint. Not sure if that is what you have though, but I can see the black leakage being a thing.

Personally I like the reddish-brown one and the laced one the best. If the white one was just more tame like the others, that would also make her one of my favorites.
