If you are really concerned about it being strictly an album you would probably be better off doing it as an article (people can still leave comments and chat with you, but it'll be more directed towards the topic) or doing an album (people can still comment on the art.) But really, a public thread, especially active ones tend to get derailed at some point. Especially more light hearted ones like this.
