My best recommendation would be to try different grades of pencils and find your favorite. I used to use HB all the time, but 2B and 4B really create depth.

Do you know where I can get any advice (like where to get started and stuff like that) if not, that’s ok

I am actually self taught, so I am not too sure on where to get started.

Depends on your style of art really. Alphonso Dunn on youtube is the only youtuber I like to watch, but I just started watching his videos as of late. He is great with ink and pen. I like to watch his anatomy videos for animals.

But, it's not really a course.
