Finished him last night.Sorry for not updating. I drew a very bad rabbit earlier yeaterday, or maybe it was the day before, can't remember. Working on a monkey right now (haven't drawn one before). My brother hasn't lent me his Ipad since the "day of the gold fish," so nothing new with digital art.
Nice, Cherry! Is this pencil? Or?Finished him last night.
Its made with a black pen. I did also use a white gel pen for the hair and for the highlights on the eyes.Nice, Cherry! Is this pencil? Or?
I usually use a pencil to sketch it in first, with simple shapes. So for example, I sketched out the face first in the monkey, but not the hair, since its just black anyways. The update I posted yesterday was right after I erased the pencil. Once I draft the shapes that need to be well porportioned, I start coloring and shading with pen. I found a new pen yeaterday, which works great.Your work always has a wonderful 3D quality to it, due to your expert shading. Nicely done and quite realistic. Do you block in the major shapes first?
Looking back at my photos, I would say 1-2 hours, but I did rest in between.About how long would you say that monkey took you to do?
