Well, My fan has officially been added to my incubator. I am getting the temp settled now. It was only off for two whole days lol.
Hopefully, I can get at least 3 more Bresse to hatch giving me good odds of at least 2 pullets so that I can start hatching my own Bresse out in the early fall if at all possible.
That is good news!

Batch 3 started pipping right on time, just a couple hours before the start of day 21. Guess that means the temp was correct this time. Now I just have to wait and see how many actually hatch.

I separate my eggs for hatching by color, so I know who's an EE, who's an OE, and who's possibly purebred. I used to use plastic containers but for my current hatch I made walls using plastic crossstitch canvases. They are working well. I bought the canvas on Amazon but if I were to buy again I would go to a craft store so I could pick ones that were more rigid. The ones I got are flimsy so I had to double up on some parts and had to tape it to the incubator walls. Otherwise the chicks could had pushed right past the ends.

(I honestly can't remember if I saw this on BYC or if I thought of it myself. :idunno So if anyone has seen it before and remembers the OP please feel free to credit.)

I'll be setting bantams if they lay a few between now and Saturday. :caf

I hope the hatch goes well!
