Good morning everyone. Change of plans and have some shipped eggs coming end of week. Will start then even though they don’t count.

I'm right next to you in Mapleton. I've always considered it Northern Ut but I am a transplant from CA. So take that with a grain of salt.

A little late to the party but wasn’t sure if I would have eggs to set or not. Turns out I did so I set 24 eggs yesterday at noon, all chickens

Incubator has been holding temp at 100 for the last few days, added eggs yesterday and then last night a cold front moved in and this morning temp was 95. Im sure it will be fine but i hate seeing it drop like that.

So my broody girl finally accepted some eggs. (whew!)

Final count. I have 24 in the bator, set on 3/25 and 10 under a broody hen, set 3/31.

So glad to be doing this with y’all. Excited to see all of what hatches.

I'm not sure how this works but I'm starting 16 Marans eggs today. It was a secret stash but they all look fresh and viable. 13 from my BBC and 3 from my BBS pens. Lighter egg is just for comparison (store bought).

I would like to participate in the Hatch-a-long for Easter. Today I set 7 Silkies in my Brinsea Mini Advance Incubator. They were shipped from Papa's Poultry in CA. I candled them before setting them today and they all look good. I'm crossing my fingers that I get at least half that hatch.

How far were they shipped? On the first thread, there is a link to the farthest shipped eggs contest

I'm setting a dozen barnyard mix eggs today! I have two broodys

I will also be setting some quail eggs in a few days. They may or may not be for the hatch along, I'm going on a trip so I'm not sure how it will work with that.
