I just pulled an early quitter so I’m at 17 chicken eggs. When is everyone with chicken eggs going into lockdown?

Yes, so far so good. I have another BR, two Welsummer, 2 Salmon Faverolle and 2 Buff Orpington. The brooder’s ready to go!

My little Crele hen, Cloe is due today! She hatched out one already. 3 eggs were not fertile, so she only has 4. Haven't checked to see if anymore have hatched. She lets me look and take the empty shells out. All my hens do.

She hatched out 4. 2 black, one grey and white and one white with peach colored chipmunk markings. She had to be helped out the egg. If we decide to keep her, I going to call her Peaches.

Well, Candled again, Pulled one for dead ring egg and One I thought was a goner is moving now so that's good news. So now there are two iffy eggs left in the incubator and 6 wigglers. Still, nothing for sure in the quail I checked. Think I saw some veins in one though. Can't be sure.

Ya'll think 3.5 weeks old is old enough to post in the sexing section? I'm pretty sure on my 4 so far but would like second opinions.

I think this little one was waving at me when I was drawing air cells.

One of my new chicks is missing the toe on the back side of its foot. I had to boot both feet because its toes aren't straight, will the missing toe be a problem? I'm asking because its having a hard time keeping its balance without the toe.
