My chicks haven't arrived yet, but I will be following along for sure! I do have a question. Why is it the day before Easter instead of Easter itself?

incubating is not an exact science. We will have eggs hatching all week long for Easter!

I would love to join in the hatch along. I wish I had known sooner and I would have withheld placing my Easter egger bantams eggs in the incubator; however I have ordered a breeding pair of Seramas and would love to enter any eggs they have in the contest.

When do ducks need to be replaced as breeders? Casey is about to turn five, and Jojo is about to turn four. Their daughter is two. I don’t care if they are slowing down, but the woman who entrusted them to me only asked that I give her babies from their line when she’s ready.
If I need to do it now, I will squeeze eggs out of Casey.

I have a 7 year old drake Pekin who is still fertilizing eggs. I am not sure how long hens will go. My oldest is 2 or 3.

Because many people are busy with church and family on Easter.

And Exactly. We have a window of +/- 2 days so you can hatch on Easter if you want!

It’s snowing.

I woke up to 3 inches of snow. My DH slid down our driveway and slid right into the fence in our truck. Our driveway is steep and has a curve to it. It was not pretty and he was not a happy camper. Then the driveway melted and all was good..........until it started snowing again 30 minutes ago and now my driveway is covered again. I love the snow as long as I don't have to drive in it.
