The 10th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!!

Looks like I’ll be hatching some eggs for a friend and will fill the incubator with mine after I set his eggs. Setting this Monday. So a pre run for me to check for fertility.

Dorking Chicks are so cute!

They are the cutest!! But I may be a bit biased.

I absolutely adore them, but my birds are more pets than anything else, so it's their even temperament and loving, quirky personalities that I find irresistible. Production-wise, I can't complain. They're steady layers overall, and it's been the two pullets (and my Marans) who have kept us supplied with large eggs for much of the winter. Some of the older girls are already resuming egg laying for the year, too.

They are dorks.

I have a drop box folder for smileys so when I see one, I move to over to that folder and save it for later.

Picking up Turkey eggs tomorrow to get the incubators tested out. My daughter wants to hatch some of our ducks eggs for the Easter Hatch along. I'm just hoping they get back laying eggs and the drake does his job.

Just set 177 Maran eggs yesterday in the old GQF. Most will be sold off, but hatching is always the fun part.
