Count me in! I'm new here but not new to chickens. I will be loading up my Brinsea with eggs from my farm. I lost my best rooster to a predator over the weekend and don't want to lose his genes, so I am setting about 18 eggs from my flock. I remembered there was an Easter hatchalong here so I am excited to be a part of it!

So, so far so good with the fan being added. Incubator has stayed at 99 for the past 7 hours. or so. I can not see 99.5 so in ya'll's opinions should I aim for 99 or 100?

100 F because the fan was added and still air incubators incubate at 102 F.

Well, I've read you can brood quail and Chickens that hatch together for the first couple weeks so I don't know, don't think a wall in the incubator should be needed I could arrange something if I had to but just not sure. I've never hatched quail and the only pigeons I hatched were brooder by their parents.

I wouldn't do that, quail are so much smaller, they might get stomped.

What about my birthday? Don’t I matter? I wanted some babies to hatch on my birthday, but now there’s less of a chance. You Don’t Like Me!!!

I use shelf liner in the bottom. Most stores like walmart sells it

The Cottages Assisted Living is back for the Easter hatch. Our residents are already getting excited since I set up the incubators this week. Monday we will set eggs to hatch Easter morning.

We hatch at 2 locations. and will be setting 64 eggs total. barnyard mix.
