I set 17 chicken eggs for the Easter Hatch a long!

Candled tonight. Of 15 set 14 are going strong. And the breeder said he was having fertility issues...not anymore! Sent him a message that his fertility is great. He's happy as he set 100 eggs few days after I got these.

Me too! It's so exciting.

My set was a total impulse. Found a stashed nest the same day I read this post. Dusted off and fired up the incubator a couple hours later. It'll probably be my best hatch yet just because I have absolutely nothing riding on it.

So who's candling tomorrow on day 7?

I’m candling and weighing my favorite eggs that I’m basing the hatch off of tomorrow. They’re all solid air cells.

I’ve got several jelly air cells still at day 4 or 5 when I candled them so I’m not touching them until day 10.

1. total eggs set for April 20 hatch 40.....30 coturnix, 10 silkie cross. 31...24 coturnix and 7 EE and Silkie cross going into lockdown tomorrow!!
