Well I can’t leave anything alone so I went back and stole the eggs and candled them.

Only one egg is developing maybe on day 2. The hen sitting on the eggs is not the one that I thought. The one sitting is my small bantam whatever mix (Serama x) . Belly feathers are all pulled. She is a very unreliable sitter because she is low on the totem pole and if any of the others come near her she runs away. Timid bird with a loud voice. Not sure what to do about her. Maybe the others will break her Broodiness? I think she is a older girl as I only get a egg from her every once in awhile. I saw her and her sister at the tack store in December and couldn’t resist.

Also I have a question about this egg. Could it be a double yoker? There is a small round mass floating along with the normal yellow you would see in a egg.

I see one yolk. They just look like that as the embryo develops and the veins spread out like a spider.

Shipped eggs and have yolks that split and sometimes look scrambled

I candled last night, all eggs including those with loose air cells still show growth and movement :yesss:
Increasing the humidity slowed air cell growth as well, I'm pleasantly surprised. Lots of wind and dry weather here right now.
:thumbsup It all sounds good!

The other one could be dachshund/Anatolian? Or some other shepherd. Or could have beagle too. Idk. Lots of possibilities. But they have that long, short body shape and similar face to dachshund
Beagle stuck out to me too. They have the same body and ears as a beagle.

Sooo cute! Congratulations! I just adopted a little one from a coworker. They can be such clowns!
