The 2010 Census

I got the short version too. The one looking for just names, DOB's, gender and Ethnicity.

Got the Loooong one in 2000. I never though I would get it done. It was like a book!

I have not filled a census out the last several years due to the lack of support for the homeschool system in our area and sports if you are homeschooled. I am toying with the idea of filling it out this year though. I just get so miffed that my kids can't participate in sports programs in our area, but yet the school system can still get government monies for them if I add them to the census. That's it in a nutshell, but I've come to the realization that it's more than just the schools that get affected when I don't fill the form out, thus my reason for thinking that I will probably fill it out this year. I just wish that homeschoolers were treated more fairly, but that's a whole different topic and one I won't go into here.

They have been doing a census every 10 years since 1790 and the US has managed to live through them all.
William the Conqueror even did a census of England in 1086 and England is still around.

I think a lot is being made out of a normal process.

do you realize that if you don't fill it out the place you live in will not get all the government money it deserves, so your potholes and such will not get fixed

plus the goverment all ready has you name, taxes and such, so what the big deal

I havent gotten one yet.. SO I dont know what they will be asking on the ones they send out here..

Honestly..its not a big deal to me...i just dont believe its benefits us at all...
so i dont bother to fill it out...

Thats why i dont fill mine out.. I dont care if they have my name and such...

Mine came today ~ filled it out ~ will be back in the mail tomorrow.

Nothing they asked of me is a secret ~ they know all that and a lot more already as I worked for a local government agency.

If you want to keep the country running they have to have some info to go on.
