Mine came yesterday, back in the mail today. Three minutes I'll never get back, no big whoop!

Yep. I don't mind the financial info either, I do send in my tax forms every year and you can't get much more specific than that. It's neat to look through the census data from so many years ago and to see how the population was then. I love that someone in 100 years will be thumbing through the data that we send in now, thinking "my, how things have changed".

I'm just peeved that it was ME that ended up with the long form this time. There is a total of 100 questions. That is not a 3 minute job and it steams me.

Of course, I just teased you about it, pretty much guaranteeing that I'll get the loooooooong form this year.

I got ours today. It's sitting on the counter for DH when he gets home. We've been married for almost 17 years and I dont ever remember filling one out. Not that there have been many since then

We moved during the last one (in April) so never filled it out. I remember when I was 11 the guy came to my house to quiz my mom. She was so upset about having to list she was living together instead of married, they married a few months later.

Yeah you did it now.

do you realize that if you don't fill it out the place you live in will not get all the government money it deserves, so your potholes and such will not get fixed

Except that if you do fill it out, the taxes will still go up but the government will say they don't have enough money and the potholes and such will STILL not get fixed...

I filled out the part where you list how many people live in the house. That is it.

The rest is none of their business.

If they really want to know they can comb through my BYC posts and find it themselves.

As for government money...there is NO SUCH THING. They have to TAKE IT from someone else before they "give" it to your community. That is TAX PAYER money. Of course, they skim off as much as possible in the process so the less they have the less they can steal.
