Seriously cute, and those feet are adorable!!!
Oh dear! Well, as long as the house is solid and stays warm, and you have plenty of firewood...... it sounds quite lovely to me actually, LOL. But if you have to go out to work in it..... yikes!just got back from the grocery store, apparently EVERYBODY is stocking up for the big storm. weather dude says 20 more inches of snow, not counting the freezing rain we are supposed to get. dont forget we already have 12 inches on the ground, not as bad as snowstorm Nemo though!
half the shelves were empty, the shelf stockers couldnt put food on the shelves fast enough!
i just set eggs under Jo this morning, i think i will move her into the garage to keep her warm. gonna have to stock up the chickens water/feed in case we dont wanna go out tomorrow. yuck
Sure you can! All you need to do is buy or make another incubator!alrerady set eggs for the st. paddys day hatch along so wont be able to take part in this one![]()
Sounds lovely!its actually warm here, if it werent for tripping around in deep snow. theres no wind which makes it pretty nice out!
LOL, YaaaySet time is almost hereI can't wait.![]()
You can still hatch with us! The only contests that involve setting on the exact date for each type of egg are the best and worst hatch rate and I think that's it. There are lots of contests open to everyone, even those not participating in the set dates. How I envy those getting so much snow. I love the stuff!![]()
Seriously though, I hope everyone stays safe. 20" is a lot to come down at one time.
Kinda bummed about the hatchalong. My birds have slowed down a bit and what eggs they are laying are promised to another person, plus I can't spend any money right now but my sweet daughter got me an early birthday gift of eggs so that I could participate. They were all set to ship on March 4. Great. Then I received the tracking number this morning. They're already on the way.![]()
So after all that, I still don't think I'll be able to participate in the hatchlong. Last hatchalong I signed up for didn't happen for me either. We went away on vacation instead. We never go away... Just doesn't seem meant to be..![]()
I hope everyone has a fabulous hatch!![]()
Quote: How did I miss that? lol Do I list what breeds I'm hatching or the number set if I can't set on the exact date? Just wondering how that will work. Sorry if it's spelled out somewhere...
Yep! Sounds about right! That's close to what I paid last year for 30 chicks. Getting 28 this April. Honey, where's my new mega brooder?!I have made my list for chicks this year! we go directly to the hatchery and get a few layers each year. Sad to say, i havent picked those out, just the 'fancies' $99.75 for all of them, its only 35 chicks!! and i havent even got there yet.. it will easily go from spending $100 to $300![]()
Quote: I have four brooders, all are big! because i hatch big! lol just kidding, the brooders are big, but my incubator only holds 24 eggs.![]()
Put a bowl of white rice in it. Although if you're already at lockdown, you don't want to do that.thanks there was alot of great info there i needed it ....but i took all of the water out of my incubator and the humidity is still at 52% would u happen to have any ideas how to fix this?
