Good morning all! I go into lockdown also on sunday with 6 eggs

We are getting close to set day. Are you all ready guys? Who has already started egg collecting? I started collecting my Bantam eggs already and will start the LF eggs tomorrow. I was thinking of also looking into other peples eggs that were offered to me from else where. Cant decide what to do what to do?

Ok Im off to drink some coffee tend to all the animals and then lay down with my sick DD

Kids are off school, slept in, and the chickens aren't happy to still be cooped up. Off to let 'em out.. BRB

Apparently they do! I think it takes 25 years from a sprout to be able to tap one though. We only tap a small # of trees, as we don't have that many. It's a real labor of love. Its hard work lugging big pails back to the shed for storage until we can boil it down. I really wished hubby bought large pails with lids so we could just put them in the ATV trailer. Plus I got no bridges right now to the bush (construction & new bridges on the way), so gotta make my way down the sled trail to get sap. Hope I don't get run over by a snowmobile! Lol! Red cone is where one of my new bridges is going.




Here is the shed where we store the sap, among other stuff!

ok, we have the hatch a long and one of the contests is guessing how many eggs are set...how will we know? does everyone tell how many they set or what? and if so...who/where do we tell how many we set?

Post in this thread how many eggs you have set with a picture of the eggs in your bator. (cuz we all love looking at a bator full of eggs) The results will be updated in the spreadsheet that is imbedded in the first post, and once they are all tallied, a winner will be announced.

After everyone is aware of how many eggs have been set, then we'll start the "Guess How Many Will Hatch" Contest.
