Woohoo!!!Wow, hubby called while I was trying to upload pics. I'm a jittery mess of nerves, but wow what an experience. Ok, this time, I think I can get the photos to you. 1st pip about 10:30am central. Had already started to zip to the left in 30min or so. 1 hour later looked all the way to the bottom of the bator tray. Then stopped. Around 11:30am looked like it was back at the top breaking through. Has started to make cracks in the top and right side since last 30 minutes.
Update: the "beak" turned out to be a egg chip, used my flash light to confirm, sorry. (Right now it looks like a wet wad of spinach.) (haha)
Now, the little Wyandotte just right and left just pipped through. Whew! OK, here's the pictures.

Gosh, thanks! I don't blame you. This is really neat. I've helped "catch" Human babies, and there is nothing more precious on this earth!Woohoo!!!I'm so nervous for you lol I'm so nervous for our first pip..So nervous in fact I am calling off work more than likely the day they are supposed to hatch lol I know I can't do anything to help unless the chick REALLY needs it but I'm a bundle of nerves!
Good Luck with your hatch! Please keep posting pics and updates!
You must be over by the lake. My incubator if I don't add humidity was reading 12% in one, 13% in the other. Darn cold winter and dry air. I do add a little humidity to keep it 30-35% for incubation at 99.5-100.0.I do not add humidity until first pip. I live in a humid climate and my humidity in my bator stays around 30% through the whole hatch. I do check air cells to make sure I do not need more humidity. When I get first pip I boost my humidity to 60%. After first hatch, the humidity goes up all on its own. I keep my temp at 99.5-100. I do not go over. I rarely have health issues. Like spongy belly's, or splay legs since I have changed my humidity practice. My hatch rate is better and this time around I am hoping for 100%. I have 100% fertility and this is a first. I have had no quiters or early deaths, and that is a firsts.![]()

I agree, hold onto 60% to 65%, open all air holes once pips start and watch 'em pop. I've been known to let out high humidity by lifting off the top quickly and replacing it if the humidity isn't controlled by the air holes.
Awww....

Even helped deliver puppies, which can also be an experience if your a young child, getting them out of there "sac", when Mama can't or won't. But, nothing is like this waiting, waiting, waiting, watching, watching, hearing the chirping and chirping.. and then eventually see it come around, then hopefully grow up. Such an incredible experience.
Creation, simply God's Masterpiece!!!
Well, I think I've been home for the past hour. I won't know anything until my next appointment though. I wish they hadn't stabbed me in my left arm 3 times and the final time in my right, but I'm just glad it's over with.
So beautiful it is worth repeating!!Yay, it IS spring! So excited! I love spring so much that I stop and tell flowers how pretty they are. Yes I'm crazy.
