Hi, ya', Raz! Long time no see! How are things in L.A.?

That's not California, it's lower Alabama.
Hey Wisher! Things are good here. Just found out this morning I get to do the hatch. One of the guys at the feed store was asking my dad if had any chicks. Dad told him I was talking about doing an Easter hatch, so they plan to buy all the chicks I hatch.

Awesome Raz, if I had a place to put the buggers, I'd hatch as well, LOL. Actually I'm planning on hatching some Crevecoeurs after Easter, and have the place ready for them (for once) but can't do before/during Easter as I'll be away too much :(

Oh yah!! I looks like I will be getting some turkey hatching eggs in time to do them for the hatch also!!!
These are shipped eggs so with ordering 24 I'm hoping to be able to fill one bator early with these eggs and the other with chicken hatching eggs! If so, it will be mighty chirpy around here on Easter :)

I went to a primary school just down the road from me to see if the children would like to hatch my eggs for me as an Easter project. It turns out they already do incubation projects. I never got to do that at school. Lucky devils.

I've separated two pens ready to start collecting eggs in a week or so. One's a project pen of a very poor quality araucana carrying dominant white (the gene I want) with some Vorwerks. The other is a recessive white araucana on a white araucana hen to see if she's dominant or recessive white. I'm hoping I can figure out how to get another couple separated, so I've brought the hen home in case I think of a way. That would be probably an araucana roo carrying S (but also E/e+ so will throw some rubbish, but he has amazing type) on a black-red hen for some silver duckwing girls (that's the aim, anyway!).
