well.... so far of my 5 that went into lock down... three have hatched...one didn't make it and one is still cheeping with no pip... if no external pip in the am I'll be helping so cross your fingers that isn't needed. the one that didn't make it looked like it might have piped into a blood vessel or something ... come on last little one.... get out of there!

Got me some fuzziness today! Nothing going on in the bator until last night when we had 1 pip. She fully hatched about 10:30 this morning. Then when we left for my moms for Easter we had 3 more pips. Got home from my moms with 3 babies total, another zipping that has since hatched and 2 more pips! This is my first hatch ever and let me tell you, the rush is awesome. So heres the first three just moved to the brooder.

36 eggs set.
-4 clear/bloodrings
32 eggs lockdown

25 hatched

Final numbers for my very first hatch out of 18 shipped eggs:

2 infertile
8 yolkers
1 blood ring
4 breech babies, fully developed, but did not hatch
4 hatched fuzz balls, healthy and happy.

I have my first chick!! I noticed the pip about 7:30 tonight. By 9 it had hatched! She looks great, the shell was clean, and her yoke sac was absorbed. No pips from the other 9, but I hear a lot of chirping from the 'bator.

Maybe not a total loss. I hear very faint peeps coming from the Sportsman and the LG that had the high humidity. We'll see.

WOW, I think you have the best hatch rate of anyone. What kind of incubator do you have?

pretty good.
