I think the humidity in one and then the temp spike I had in one and who knows how long that was, cause I was leaving them alone, killed off both LGs. I decided to check an egg from the one, when I touched and egg and it was really hot. Wasn't pretty. I also have found lots of late quiters and can see more clears thatt I couldn't see at lockdown. I have one tiny pip in the 3d bator, but also it had most of the quiters. I have eggs backed up. What hasn't hatched by the afternoon and I can't definately see movement in is gone. Lots of these were some of the first few eggs from some pullets and some that I have been trimming vents to, to get some fertility. I have fertility way up, so instead of hanging on to so many I know are lost, they have several hours and I'm starting my next big hatch. Said it before, when I join these hatches I have the worse luck. Gotta change that next time.

was amazed this morning 3 more new chicks, well 4 one didn't make it. I only saw 2 pips when I went sleep. There is another pip in there now a olive egg. The chicks seem smaller and weaker as time goes on.

Well with the bad news of loosing a chick from my neighbors eggs early this AM, look what I found when tending to the kids this AM. Our first and second. Must have missed one yesterday. Both were in the same nesting box. So out of 12 nesting boxes and only one had eggs in it, I am pretty sure it's only one hen laying out of 30 hens

You have 2 different colors & slightly different shapes. I'm guessing 2 different hens.

WOW, I WAS GOING TO GIVE MY FINAL COUNT BUT JUST WENT TO THE BATOR AND HEARD PEEPING. Yet another cream legbar is going to hatch. Now I am convinced that my LG was indeed running 2 different temps, the front being 4 degrees lower than the back....and this is with a fan and a egg turner. Now I am going to sit tight and hope that the remaining eggs may hatch as well. This is day 23. I am so happy I did not throw them out! So far I have 14 hatched out of 51.
