I wish to crow publicly about Happy Chooks, who has ALWAYS been helpful, informative, and far too much fun sometimes.

. The work she's done on this Hatch-a-long has been fantastic! She encourages, prods, supports, and cheers us with every task she has undertaken for the benefit of BYC and the furthering of happy, healthy chooks everywhere.

Why thank you Linda, what a sweet post. And funny you remember my "original" username. I was encouraged to change it from other members.

I had a pea-chick like this, and I broke the tips off of a q-tip, pushed it back (in this case, it was the tendon) and then taped it so there was tension to hold the tendon between the cotton tips. You'll want to put it in a cup in a sort of straddle-swing to keep it off of the leg for a couple of days while things tighten up. Here's a link that may help: Poultry Podiatry

Don't become discouraged, just be patient and be sure to get a vitamin B supplement going.
