It must be nearly spring! I got 7/8 eggs from my layer flock today and the only one who didn't lay is 2.5 years old and has been giving double yolkers. Yay!

I saw them a long time ago when someone else mentioned them. This is what they look like. Purdy, huh? I will have one, oh yes, I will.

I'm hating all this rain! I can't get into the RIR pen to collect eggs for the hatch and I still need to get the eggs from the game pen. I swear I need rubber boots.Dad's mad at me for not collecting eggs, but I can't sacrifice my only pair of shoes to the mud. To make things worst, my shoes are hand-me-down Vans that my SIL bought and decided she didn't like a day later. In her defense, she's not used to skateboarding shoes. You can feel everything you step on and those are the only kind of shoes I can stand to wear.

Now dad doesn't want to hear anything about eggs or birds from me. Now the question of a new breed is out the window. I was hoping to talk him in to finally selling our game flock and getting some orps. (I'm falling in love with the blue splash) All of that is over for now. The rain is killing me!

ETA- I almost forgot, the computer is fixed now!
