I had two pip yesterday and were there at 5am this morningOne of my Rouen Ducks is pipping now I hope it comes today and can be a Valentine duck! Other than those though no pips out of the other 23 eggs! However, I can't stay away and keep checking LOL I will get nothing accomplished today. Roughly 10 days.I think I'm gonna get the bator out and give it a try as well as have eggs under a broody hen for the hatch a long. Did have a question though. how long can we hold eggs before putting the in the bator or under the hen? is it 2 weeks?

Feb/March Egg Swap that will go with this hatch. Is there an egg swap for this hatchalong?
LOL-Isn't it silly how exciting such a simple thing as eggs can be? The rest of the world just doesn't know what they're missing out on. BTW I'm just as excited for those Barnie eggs as you are for the Dorkings!! Butterflies!![]()

What a nice Fiance!!!!My fiance just went to get the wood to build me a brooder for inside because our doggies are not chicken friendly so rubbermaids on the floor aren't safe and my batch is starting to hatch today! I can't wait for it to be finished!!!
That's a lovely dream!!!!Okay, I'll go first because I love to dream. And BTW I have every intention on it coming true! I want a pond, with Sebastopol Geese. A peacock that's always perched on top of the coops. An outdoor duck aviary with ornamental ducks especially Mandarins, and of course the awesome chickens I already have, but more. A huge barn with many pens, brooding stations, and an enormous incubator filled with eggs and a line at my front door of the people wanting the chicks that hatch! Yep, that about covers it!
