Is this true....someone told me I could transmit mites to my coop, if I recieved a bird that has mites, he was treated before he left, and i dusted him when i got him, and he is in. my mud room away from the other birds, i havent seen any on him and will be trating him again on Wednesday.

Yes they can. Mites can come into you coop with wild birds too.

I use mite strips on my coops from McMurray Hatchery.

Thanks! They were pooping and moving all around. It makes it so hard to get a good picture!

I put them in the brooder with some 2 1/2 week old wellie chicks and the older chicks are petrified of the younger chicks!

Great! This is going to be fun! Although, I`m really going to have to limit the number of eggs I set this time. I'm getting some from a hatchery April 2!
