I'm in Ohio. I have checked for mites. I dont see worms in anyones poop. I just started the red pepper, and turned on a light 2 days ago. My 3 oldest birds decided it was a great time to molt, last month. I will try the calcium thing and i have both rooster booster and big ole bird but the second makes my.wafers dirty, I will boost them. My turkey went broodie in January and tried to sit on 19 eggs in the snow. Haven't seen an egg from her since then. I am setting up a couple more lights in two of my other coops. I think it is this up and down weather we are having.
I'm in Ohio also. Our flocks have just restarted their laying in the last week or so. I hope it spreads your way soon.

The Information Goddess!!!!!!!!! very well thought out article. Awesome information even for the "experienced hatcher"

A while back I posted about finding Call Ducklings. Well, I couldn't find any anywhere, so I placed a WTB ad on Craigslist. Last night I talked to a lady only 50 minutes away from me who is going to set eggs for me (when they actually start laying) and said I should have ducklings sometime in April!!! YAY ME!!! I'm so happy, can you tell??
