My husband just picked our dog up from the local fire dept. She darted out the front door this afternoon, and we'd been searching off and on since then. Phone rings and my BFF asks if I'm missing a dog. I say how did you know? My dog is posted on the Fire Dept. Facebook page as found and looking for owner. She accidentally ran across it, and I got my dog back. What are the odds? Too Funny. Guess I'll go get those tags I've been meaning to get, now!

I've finally got a duck laying.

My magpie call is I think, found 2 duck eggs in the past few days. They are in my bator now testing fertility, and looks like I'll be setting ducks and serama's for the hatchalong. Still

that my d'uccle start by then too. I'm going to pick up another lg, tsc has them on sale and I need more room.

Julie - I got a new (to me) LG in the mail yesterday! I bought it from someone on BYC and plan to use it as a hatcher. I'm very excited about not having to clean the turner! I can just spray it down, let it sit, and then rinse it off!

Gardeningmama - I am so glad you found your pup, it was so unlikely that your friend would stumble on the pic and recognize your dog It was meant to happen!

I really recommend the Brinsea Spot Check Thermometer for hatching. The thermometers that come with incubators aren't very accurate. The Spot check is accurate to .1 degree.

I use my own, I don't go with those incubator thermometers! Spot Check sounds good.

Lol, I plan on using it as a hatcher too. I always have staggered hatches going on, and I think I'll be a lot happier having the hatching going on separate. I have one I've been using for the past year and I've had pretty good luck with it and I'm used to it so I don't want to mess that up trying something else.

Can someone tell me how to put my signature trade on my photos, someone stole one of my pictures out of my photos on here and posted it on facebook. I need to tag my pics. They were saying it was theirs.

You can upload the pictures to photobucket and then edit them with a watermark and then download them back to your computer or just use the link that photobucket provides for each picture.

Darling, this is what I originally ordered for my hatch along. Then, some wonderful person came along, and offered me some of their blue barred rocks because I didn't have any hatch in this last hatch of mine. A first in about a year. Soo disappointed. Now, I can relate ~ again ~ to those that don't have a good hatch. So, I will be doing Welsumers and barred rocks. I'm saying barred rock, but not sure, they just may be..Plymouth, and I think there is a difference. ? Anyway, I am more often than not, very happy with chicken folk! Pretty nice folks out there.

Julie, I'm so happy for you!! Hopefully next year I'll be able to say the same. I never even noticed Calls in your siggy, and Lord help me you have Mandarins too

I'm hoping to trade all my mandarin babies this year for unrelated pairs so I can have 3-4 pairs next year, this is my first pair and first year with them.

If you want call eggs once more start laying maybe we can swap some eggs or something.
