   Good Morning everyone !!
I don't know the temp here in Upstate  NY, but when I inhale & my nose sticks together it's COLD !!!:lau

I'm looking for  a possible side swap or purchase for  Welsummer eggs for this hatch.  Does somebody know anybody who might know  somebody with Wellie eggs :jumpy   !!!

                                                                                                        Thanks                       Juanita

I have welsummers but the are not all back to laying from their molts yet.

Opinion wanted. I have no LF white egg laying chickens. Are there any that are friendly with people and other chickens?

My favorite online resource list is Henderson's Handy Dandy Chicken Chart: www.Ithaca.edu/staff/jhengerson/chooks/chooks.html because you can easily see the notations for egg size and color, as well as other really nifty attributes.

Off the top of my head, in my flock I have a Golden Lakenvelder, a White Crested Black Polish, a white Leghorn..... All LF white egg layers. Probably others....

Well, we'd probably have to go for the... or something, LOL! The only thing I have breeding pure right now are some Seramas and D'Uccles. I've seen your pics, and you wouldn't want my stock

. I just want them for pets anyway, so I'm not bothered by their quality. I would absolutely be willing to pay for eggs though (even if you could only spare a few), when they all start laying! Please keep me in mind.

My serama came from a bhep and ruthless on here. My d'uccle's came from a hatchery (ideal), and my call ducks from ebay and a friend, lol. And I've really been wanting a different color d'uccle besides mille fleur...

So glad you found him!!!! our dog keeps running off, too. He opens our door, goes to our neighbor's house and lets himself into their house, which they are not too thrilled about. he wants to play with their dog. even at 3am. I think they have seriously lost their sense of humor at thsi point.

Best I can do for you is wellievelders. I have some wellie girls and I LOVE their eggs but my roo is a Barnevelder...LOL Hope you find them!
He lets himself in their house? That's crazy.

I have to say I love my white leghorns that I hatched from Trader Joe's fertile eggs. I did spend a lot of time with them as they were growing up, and two are a little skittish still, but 2 are absolutely docile (the skittish ones I didn't spend as much time with while they were growing up) Actual Leghorn breeders may have strains that are very sweet, they lay huge white eggs nearly one a day and in my opinion, are beautiful. They come in many colors as well, you don't have to do white. However, I find the white to be beautiful!

Well, it's on e option anyway :)

More notes: I put in my Crevecouer chickens in with them and they get along ok. Only one of my Leghorn pullets is dominant and always pecks at my Crevecoeur boy and girl at the eating bowl, but I just put a lot of bowls out so they can always find one available. It's just an "I'm still the boss" peck, nothing bad

Adding my "Good Morning" and add a "Merry Sunshine" as my mother always did;)
Took some pics of my Splash and BBSplash Americauna chicks yesterday...hatched Feb 1st. They are beautiful, but seem quite flighty and skittish, has anyone else noticed this about Americaunas?
