Wow, I can't believe I forget to say this...

I put 12 quail eggs in the incubator on the 12th.

My other eggs had problems and long story short, I'm getting some next week not two weeks ago.

I have 2 pens and 2 coops now. And a brooder pen. Going to make a couple of breeder pens too. We just got done with soccer season for my youngest son. I was assistant coach so we have been very busy lately. So now I have a little more time to do more.

Hey...GA! Where abouts are you in GA? We have a son out there on a mission for our church. He was in Americus, now he is in the north part of the state..Acworth I think it is. He went for way down south, to way up north. He is loving the wooded areas. He says it's beautiful. I had told him how it was in the south. I used to live in the top part of Florida..Fernandina Beach. Loved it as a kid. Moved to VA. So, he's heard all about the food there too. I miss so much of that still to this day. Yumm, hush puppies..lol..

CANDLE EGGS
DAY 7

When you Candle on day 7 there should be a red dot about the size of a match head with faint blood vessels surrounding it and you may see the embryo move. This is an exciting time to candle! Eggs without any indications of fertility should be re-candled at 10 days and 14 days. If your not sure and it doesn’t smell leave it! If your egg is colored or a brown egg, it is harder to see through the shell, you may want to wait a few days and try again. Or find a better candler. If an egg has not been fertilized, it will be completely translucent inside the shell and you won't be able to see anything but perhaps yolk.

It IS ALIVE!!!! Video below day 7 Candle This Gal CRACKS me up!
Yep, I can see the little eyeballs moving around. Little swimmers. :) Wish my air sacs looked this good on all of them though!! Meaning, too many have the air sac going up the side...some are waay up the side. :( Babies though.

Awesome oz thanks that's exactly what we needed!!

Ooo, look up the Welsh Harlequin! Not only are the males pretty, but the females are too. Usually just the males have the pretty colors, but these females have the real dark blue in their feathers too. I will see if I can find a picture. I hatched some babies once before. Darling.

Female Welsh Harlequin. I think they are pretty. :)
