Remember my OH OH? I took that one out last night, and worked on it through the night. Whew. Glad I did. It was so tight in there. This is one of the eggs I had separated because of the high air sacs. Here is a picture after ~ she woke up around 4 this morning after being droopy for a while.

I went ahead and opened the others. One had died, two were mishaped in the head/eyes.....different breeds....the rest are hanging out until they are ready to absorb and wake up. I am pretty sure the rest will make make.

Whew..didn't get to finish my post..we had to rush out little dog to the vet! He was crying, and his stomach was huge, and tight as a drum. I thought, oh no, bloat? He will eat and eat if he can. Not sure how he got hold of extra food, we don't free feed him, no way. He eats too much too fast. A little Schnoodle. Yep, they took a X-ray, saw a lot of food in there,,,,and,,,a BB! What? This dog does not run lose. Always in the back yard with us. Or in the house. How in the world. Through the years, he's 6, he has gotten away from us a few times..must have happened then, but when..who knows. But there it was on the X-ray..fine where it is, so no worry.
Strange.
Anyway, I didn't tell that I had a chick hatch on it's own last night. After I got that one out, I helped this one in the picture. Now, have one pip, almost a zip, and one zipping in the bator that has the good air sacs. What a morning!! And night. :/

Time to set up the brooder.

Congrats to all with pips and new chicks! You all are making me want to take off of work early so I can check mine!! When I left this morning I still had nothing going on in there.... I really hate these last three days!

Peeping really works! My duckling is peeping up a storm in the incubator visiting all the eggs and I now have a chicken egg that's pipped!!!

Come on little chicks, the ducklings are beating you~! lol

I did set these guys on March 9th at 12:04 pm(ducks March 2nd at 12:02pm) BUT I've always had my chicks pip on day 20 and hatch day 21 however this is only my 3rd hatch so I'm still a newbie that hasn't had much experience :)

Two still hatched with two more Delaware pips.

Somehow with all of the egg shuffiling I put an Delaware egg upside down. It has pipped in the middle part of the egg so I am watching that egg carefully. Tomorrow I will work on getting it out of there if it is stuck. The egg is more round than normal so there is hope for the chick zipping.

This is only my 2nd, but as frustrating as it can be, the rewards are just SO sweet!!! My hubby just got the 2 windows installed on my mega brooder. Yay! Glued to the incubator, watching my first pip. Hole getting bigger!

I have two pips. Very early birds - I set at about 10-11am on the 10th. I'm thinking these may be a couple I collected the same morning, though. Getting excited, but I have pretty unbreakable plans to be mostly away tomorrow, too. Wah!

Still nothing, I checked the eggs, see no pips, hear no chirping and I'm not seeing any movement, I did candled in the middle of the day, and they aren't due til sSunday, but I usually get early Hatchers, or at least pipping
