YES!!!!

Count me in! I had a blast last year and this year I will at least have my own eggs to hatch out! I've already hatched out two batches so far this year and I just checked and I should have a bator empty in time for the hatch-along!

I started two hatches yesterday to check bators - 19 eggs in my Genesis 1588 and 19 eggs in my old bator, manual temperature. Well, after the initial temps were correct and the eggs added in, the 1588 never got above 98 degrees. I tried switches thermometers - they were true. I have been fiddling for two days to no avail on the 1588. So, I finally put all the eggs into the old incubator. I am going to have to learn how to adjust the1588 and increase the temperature - so much for automatic settings. It will interesting to see if I get anything hatching, although it has only been the first two days, so I might be able to succeed if nothing else goes wrong. My humidity is about 32%. I weighed all the eggs before I put them in, so on day 7 and first candling, I'll reweigh them, or at least a sampling, and see how the air pocket and weight is.

I don't think I will ever become lackadaisical about egg hatching, no matter how many times I do it!
