Good Morning everyone!

Always fun getting up extra early to chase horses that escaped their padlock.

lol I'd take chasing horses over pigs any day. I had my horse and donkey escape this winter and they just followed me back to the pasture. My pigs are never that easy. Hope you got them all!

Yours beat mine..it's still hangin out. More has pipped, but not much, there is shell on the floor now. I thought it was going to hatch before I went to bed for sure, but, taking it's time. Maybe now that their are noises in the house it will hatch. Taking off to sell a pullet Rhodebar this morning...meeting up with someone. Maybe it will be out when I get home.

Ducks pipping!

Chicks and turkeys aren't doing anything yet.

I opened the vent, because I think some of my ducks suffocated in my last hatch. They were doing fine going into lockdown but didn't hatch.

I ditched my vent plugs after everyone was recommending getting rid of them. I thought it would be harder to maintain humidity, but just the opposite actually. (hatching chickens, not ducks) Of course I have chicks hatching one right after another, so humidity is too high right now. I keep having to crack the lid to get it back into a safe range.

I added extra holes so I can raise the bottle. This will just be my temp brooder. They will move to a giant watermelon box when they're bigger cutting my hole for the cord to my heat plate now... love me some power tools bwahahaha (wonder how my eggs are)

I'm feeling sooo much better, thank you. Didn't know if I'd make it out alive...and then today came... I've never been soo grateful to be able to drink my coffee!

A beautiful little blue Olive Egger just hatched. Momma is my Splash OE and Dad is my Barnevelder rooster. I love blue chickens! Hopefully, it's a pullet!

My pigs will follow me a mile by dangling a branch of an ipil ipil tree in front of them.

My younger pigs will follow if I have something for them to eat, but the older ones know if they look under the apple trees or in the garden they are likely to find something left over from last year, so they just ignore me. It's hard to get an animal that weighs a few hundred pounds to go someplace it doesn't want to, usually I resort to a bucket over there head and backing them up to where I want them. My 800+lb boar I just have to wait for him to go back to the pasture, he is too big to make him go anywhere he doesn't want to be.

I've never had an issue keeping the plug in just hatching chickens, but my ducks seem to need more air.
