Hurrah for new chicks. My eggs will be locked down tomorrow.

Yep. these are from last fall she was about 5 mos old. I will try to get a better one this weekend.








She is about 2 mos old in this one

She is a cool bird. Do you know what you would get if you bred her to a regular barred rock.

Black barred split to chocolate. The chocolate would appear again when her babies are bred together.

Buff Orpingtons. Believe it or not, we are hoping for a couple of a roosters. Need them to breed with our current ladies. We also have a hen sitting on some of the eggs. If hers are good we should see chicks in a day or so from her.

Broodies are very exciting. And I hope you get your rooster.

I just hatched sexlinks and ended up with 2 pullet 4 roosters Now to call the customer and let her know the bad ratio that hatched lol.
