I believe it's $20.00 for a year. I'm hoping to win one during this hatch-a-long, lol! If not I'll be paying to renew mine. I only dealt with the ads for a month or so before I got mine, but they drove me batty for that month. No one get me wrong.... I completely understand that those ads pay for the site. That's why I don't mind paying for the GFM to turn them off, lol! They have to make the money somehow, and BYC is worth every penny to me.

Thanks! But it is a ways out still - goal was to have them hatch near my birthday (shortly after Easter). Couldn't find the breeds I was looking for to do it on the hatch along, so picked them up a week early! Early is better, right? Next year will be a better excuse, I'll be turning 30 then and need plenty of chickens to cope

Oh good, I get to post another Happy Birthday photo.

Just did tracking on both of my eggs...one from North Carolina, the other from Florida. Both were supposed to be sent on Wed. Both got sent on Thurs. I'm supposed to set them on Monday and the ones from Florida aren't expected till Monday. She said she was sending 2 day priority. Thurs - Mon is not 2 days... The ones from N.C. should be here tomorrow.....STRESSSSS

Finally collected a few eggs for this hatch today. I'd wanted to start collecting this past weekend but the eggs were frozen or darn cold by the time I got to them. Going to be a small set this first hatch for sure with only the two girls in the breeding pen.

HI how do you take the humidity down on a incubator. I tried to test it out but the humidity is 70 and I need it 55. Thanks!

Lift that lid! Just a bit at a time, until it's down. Shouldn't take much.

Are you in lock down? If so, lifting it a bit won't hurt to get it down.

First, wait 24 hours and see what the humidity is.

If humidity is that high without water, try adding some popcorn to the water channels. If it is that high with one tank filled, empty the tank and use a small storage container. Experiment until you get to the humidity you want.

I shoot for 35% during incubation and 65 to 70% for the last 3 days.
